The Work
The Physical Methods™ work builds on the original science behind the system of how the mind controls the body that inspired Joe Pilates to develop his work over 100 years ago.

Posture is defined as the "body's ability to hold itself upright"

Stacey discovered the muscles of the body respond in different ways depending on the level of participation that requires the body to move. Through her teaching and research, she discovered a rule of muscular alignment that became the key to unlocking the secret to muscular monitoring, restoration and development.

Years of testing proved the secret of developing the core strength of the body had less to do with muscle contraction, but instead the muscles location. Changing the focus resulted in a progressive development of the muscular strength.

That result stimulates the isometric muscular contractions that happen within the body's programming that enables the muscles to bear weight on the bones. Those weight bearing contractions are what make your posture possible. That system is what develops strength, flexibility and corrects the physical alignment of the body.

"The body was designed to function one way.  I figured out how to work the program, instead of trying to rewrite the program,"
