Stacey Redfield is the owner of the Physical Methods™ studio located in Bethlehem, PA. Stacey began her study of the Pilates principles in 1999 when her body could now longer keep up with the stress of traditional exercise. Inspired by the work of Joseph Pilates, Stacey began researching and developing her own unique approach after experiencing years of disappointing results from the traditional Pilates method. Achieving international certification through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) she has studied the work of many of the well known teachers in the Pilates industry. Stacey has presented her work through various organizations including major corporations, the Bethlehem Area School District and the Spirit of Women. Stacey’s education includes many fields of specialized study that includes an Associates degree in fashion merchandising. While majoring in Business at Cedar Crest College, she left to pursue a career in fitness education. That was partnered with concentrated studies in the fields of Anatomy and Physiology, Massage Therapy, Movement and most recently a six day seminar with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Stacey considers an education in the field of physical development a life long learning experience and remains commitment to her work. She has a special interest in working with curvatures of the spine and the challenge of resolving a variety of physical issues. She has recently begun developing a program that effectively aids the physical development of children 12 and older. Stacey is an award winning knitter and the creator of Bodylines Bodywear™, the first line of clothing designed for the needs of the professional Pilates teacher. Stacey is also the creator of “The Towel”, a unique usage for an everyday item that is used for strengthening the arms and upper body alignment. |
